POSITION: Donor Relations Manager                            
STATUS: Full Time, Exempt
REPORTS TO: Senior Director Development 

New Jersey LCV seeks a Donor Relations Manager to work with the Senior Director of Development in our collaborative environment to support a robust and growing grassroots fundraising program that complements the organization’s overall fundraising strategy.  This position will focus on individual donors and advance the fundraising efforts of our family of organizations including New Jersey LCV, New Jersey LCV Education Fund, New Jersey LCV Political Action Committee, and New Jersey LCV Victory Fund.  This individual must be able to work independently as well as with the Development team, a dynamic Executive Director and committed Board of Directors to maximize outcomes.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Development 
o    Will be specifically responsible for individual donors ranging from $500-$10,000
o    Assist Senior Director in the development and implementation of a giving program for donors in the $1,000-24,999 range; create a development program brand, case for support, and impact statements
o    Develop a donor engagement, communication and solicitation calendar
o    Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of our mission, goals and programs
o    Manage and visit annually with at least 75 donors
o    Utilize EveryAction Donor Management System to record and maintain all donor activities

•    Manage fundraising and donor stewardship event program 
o    Plan and implement a growing calendar of events around the state including 8-10 PAC House Party fundraisers
o    Work collaboratively with volunteer host committees and board members to develop tailored fundraising events and outreach strategies
o    Draft donor stewardship materials such as impact reports and donor surveys; manage implementation
o    In coordination with Senior Director, recruit individual, organizational and business event sponsors
o    Ensure that our events provide an inclusive space for our diverse audiences
o    Collaborate with Development Assistant on event materials and logistics
o    Build fundraising event budgets and track related expenses

•    Support the major gifts program 
o    Manage directly assigned gifts over $10,000
o    Conduct thorough donor research 
o    Identify and qualify potential major donor prospects

•    Participate in department and organization-wide planning and activities 
o    Assist in the development of annual fundraising goals, metrics and work plans
o    Assist with building the budget for the department 
o    Participate in staff meetings, strategic planning and retreats
o    Participate in conferences and trainings with national partner, the League of Conservation Voters
•    Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS
•    At least 3 years previous nonprofit development or related experience
•    Commitment to our vision, mission and values including increasing and integrating racial diversity, justice and equity into our work and organizational culture
•    Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and a customer service focus 
•    A self-starter, comfortable in a team environment with colleagues in office and remote locations
•    Ability to work effectively on diverse teams, with a diverse range of people, including volunteers and donors
•    Strong motivation to help build and strengthen our development program
•    Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
•    Ability to travel for staff meetings, events, conferences and donor meetings
•    A proven track record of raising funds from individuals, corporations and foundations desired
•    Experience with Microsoft office and donor management software preferred 


POSITION REQUIREMENTS: This is a full-time position with a hybrid structure based in Hamilton, NJ and remotely. Travel throughout the State is necessary so a valid driver’s license and access to a car are required, and this person must be able to maintain a flexible schedule common to fundraising. It is also required that all employees upon hire either: (i) establish they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and its variants; or (ii) obtain an approved exemption as an accommodation, the process for which is provided by the Human Resources Department.  

SALARY: $55,000 - $70,000
