Job Title: Digital Communications Coordinator
Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Media Relations Director
New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (New Jersey LCV) and Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania (CVPA) serve as the leading political voices for the environment in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They are bi-partisan, statewide organizations dedicated to holding elected officials accountable for their actions that impact our precious natural resources.

We work with, learn from, and support overburdened and low-income communities in order to educate the public, co-create social change, and advocate for policy outcomes that address environmental injustices.
Responsibilities:
● Develop and deploy compelling social media and digital content (graphics, copy, videos, mobile alerts) to educate and engage activists and followers, and aim to diversify current membership and follower base.
● Maintain balanced editorial calendar, and work with organizational teams to amplify activities and engage activists; and elevate voices and stories of people working for environmental change, particularly those of Black and brown voices.
● Identify and assist with development of creative digital campaigns, templates, toolkits, and best practice guides that engage partners and mobilize activists around clean water and air, open space, climate change, and environmental justice.
● Manage digital advocacy and fundraising operation of EveryAction including: software functionality; rules and source code protocols; up to date documentation; how-to guides and business rules for staff; and accuracy of constituent records and published pages.
● Assist with the planning, creating and implementing content for digital fundraising campaigns.
● Build relationships and serve as an organizational representative at meetings, events, and conferences.
● Engage with and respond to constituent (members, followers, and influencers) correspondence and questions posted to our digital channels; handle updates to member records.
● Assist with planning, development, and presentation of trainings to partners on digital best practices.
● Write and publish content to maintain the organization’s websites.
● Track, analyze and report metrics on digital activities and status of grant deliverables.
● Utilize digital platforms and tools such as EveryAction, SproutSocial, Mobilize, Spoke, Canva, and others.
● Assist Media Relations Director with press outreach, messaging and materials.
● Apply a racial justice lens to all online communications, and emphasize member education of environmental and other issues where communities of color are disproportionately impacted.
● Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
● A strong commitment to environmental protection.
● A commitment to increasing racial diversity by integrating justice and equity into the work we do, and helping ensure an inclusive organizational culture.
● Ability to meet deadlines under pressure, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented, take initiative, stay organized, follow-through, and work independently and as part of a team.
● Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, and an understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram.
● Strong interests in design, digital best practices, and organizing.
● Experience with graphics platforms, video creation and editing, Excel, social media analytics, social listening tools, and constituent relationship management platforms.
● Experience with advocacy or political campaigns.
● Strong presentation skills.
● Experience training others.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: This is a full-time position with a hybrid work structure based in Hamilton, NJ and remotely. It is required that all employees upon hire either: (i) establish they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and its variants; or (ii) obtain an approved exemption as an accommodation, the process for which is provided by the Human Resources Department.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus generous benefits package.
